"Chimère adoptée par 3 trois membres du label Simple Music Experience, aussi (co-)responsables à un point ou à un autre des actes d'Axel Larsen, (The) Simplists, Violent Quand On Aime, Constance Chlore, T. Goukassova, Radiante Pourpre, Succhiamo ou Panoptique ; Parasite Jazz advient en 2016 dans la fumée d'une performance douteuse sur Simple Music TV. Artefact improvisé et protéiforme à la naissance, le projet se stabilise fin 2020 en trio (Axel Larsen, Constance Chlore, Tamara Goukassova) à Marseille puis en sextet lors du festival Illusio à l'été 2021. S'ensuivent une série de concerts au line up mouvant - Kyle Knapp, Luca Retraite et Luna Cedrón apparaissent parfois et avec eux, des incandescences spontanées. Cette première série d'hallucinations collectives prend la forme d'un album lors d'un enregistrement périlleux à Grrrnd Zero (Lyon) en octobre 2021, et se voit complétée par des prises live glanées au fil des épisodes estivaux.
